Halo, the movie

This news has really got me excited.

Universal Studios have just signed Peter Jackson, from Lord of the Rings fame, to direct the upcoming Halo. Alex Garland, the writer from The Beach is writing the screenplay. I wouldnÆt call myself a hardcore gamer, but I must admit that the first Halo (on Xbox) was one of the best games I have ever played. It was so good that it came close to ruining my marriage!

Anyone who would have donned the Masters ChiefÆs helmet will know that Halo as a movie has the potential to be awesome. But on the flip side, the game has set such high standards that followers are almost inevitably going to be disappointed.

I, for one, am very much looking forward to running with the Master Chief on the big screen. My only real requirement for the movie is the theme music. Without the haunting chanting Halo just wouldnÆt be complete.

Not so long ago, I thought your XBox was destined for EBay, so it seems one new game and it is staying right here in Wimbledon then?
Just goes to show that men are as indecisive as women!

  2. No Adam! Why XBox? Why not Sony Playstation? Or PSP?
