iPod Nano – I couldn’t resist anymore

I’ve been slagging off people, including LenT, that own iPods for a while now. My opinion was that they’re much more about fashion than about music. But since I had my first play with a Nano I was interested and today I couldn’t resist any longer.

I hope the ú179-00 I paid for it is worth it. Time will tell, but so far I am mightily impressed.

WWF Walk for Wildlife

WWF Walk for WildlifeWe have just come back from our Walk for Wildlife sponsored hike. It was a gorgeous day and it was only 5 miles around the Thames and Richmond Park. It is such a beautiful part of London you shouldn’t really need an excuse to do this walk.

Each year the WWF choose an animal as the focus of the hike and this year it was the Orang-Utan from Borneo. A worthey cause indeed. Kudos to the WWF for arranging the Hike.

Also check out the photos of the walk.

Halo, the movie

This news has really got me excited.

Universal Studios have just signed Peter Jackson, from Lord of the Rings fame, to direct the upcoming Halo. Alex Garland, the writer from The Beach is writing the screenplay. I wouldnÆt call myself a hardcore gamer, but I must admit that the first Halo (on Xbox) was one of the best games I have ever played. It was so good that it came close to ruining my marriage!

Anyone who would have donned the Masters ChiefÆs helmet will know that Halo as a movie has the potential to be awesome. But on the flip side, the game has set such high standards that followers are almost inevitably going to be disappointed.

I, for one, am very much looking forward to running with the Master Chief on the big screen. My only real requirement for the movie is the theme music. Without the haunting chanting Halo just wouldnÆt be complete.

When things were different

The Boys at IntellifloWhilst going through a bunch of old photos, I came accross these classics. These are The Boys. They’re a rare breed of genial yet modest software magicians.

The code that these freaks came up with could well have changed the world had they not lost The One. Once The One had left – now nowhere to be found – they lost their direction. Constant in-fighting and drug abuse was the final straw that broke this camel’s back.

The IntelliFo Boys at Nando'sThere are some rumours though that The One is still out there.

This post is written with tongue firmly in cheek, so don’t take it too seriously.
